Sapphire Beach St. Thomas
This is a view that Chris (seated) and I enjoyed several times from our perch on Sapphire Beach. The water color here is simply stunning, though the reefs are largely devastated, at least on the west end where we hung out. That's St. John's in the distance. One photo note: many of the bright highlights on the water could be largely eliminated by using a polarizer, though I think they add to the composition here. I shot this with my digital camera.d the whole scene to be quite breathtaking. We chose a light-travel time to spend in the USVI. This particular day was the heaviest, with 3 ships in port. The huge one is an "Adventures on the Seas" liner. The red-roofed buildings so prominently situated in the foreground comprise Bluebeard's Castle Resort. The pinkish high-rise in the background is the Marriott Frenchman's Reef Resort.
