Hawksbill Turtle
In many ways, this little critter (measuring about 2-1/2 feet in width) was a highlight of my first outing to the Caribbean. I watched in awesome stillness while he foraged the floor, surfaced for air, and dined some more. I could have lingered much longer, but my skin was shrivelling. I shot this on color negative film (Fuji 400) with my Nikon Action Touch point-and-shoot underwater camera at a depth of about ten feet. St. John snorkelling was every bit as gratifying as I had heard.
