I'm amazed at how many beautiful scenics of rural places can be produced on the side of the road. Such is the case with this moody morning view of some farmland along the "main" road in Fairfield Glade, a retirement/resort community in central Tennessee. We were lodging in a condo directly across the street from this scene (in fact I was standing just off the parking lot when this was shot with a 300mm lens). Of course, as usual this photo could not have been made had I not been up with the birds in mid-summer (about 6:00 am)! This image has been slightly altered digitally, by moving the sun a little to the right for compositional balance. Otherwise no changes have been made to the original.
