I found myself frustrated trying to interpret this image in a fresh way. It's so challenging to shoot such a commonly-seen subject with a fresh eye, and I don't know that I've contributed anything original here. However, I was pleased with the "convergent" lighting in this shot, with the threatening sky in the background and the soft directional light nicely illuminating the adobe church. This is the church on the grounds of the Taos Pueblo. I find that the Pueblo's best offerings for photographers are in the details. Aside from the lighting, I favor the repeating themes in this image.
