Wandering around Taos Pueblo, even at midday can reveal some great photo subjects. I was concentrating on making the typical images of pueblo adobe structures, and en route from one to another, I took a "shortcut" through this alley. I liked the way the clouds cut across the sky, and all the angles and lines of the scene. I also liked the way contrast was controlled in the shadows by light reflected from one wall to the other. This image invites the viewer into the scene to explore the hidden treasures of pueblo life.
