It' good to be able to laugh at myself, and this photo surely tickles my funny bone.  Chris and I scurried up Tioga Pass Road from the Valley to capture sunrise at May Lake.  It looked like we were gonna make it just in time as we neared the trailhead at the end of a 2 mile deeply carved Jeep trail.  Without hesitation I leaped from the car and raced down the one-mile trail towards May Lake;  at least that' where I thought I was headed.  One mile passed, then another as I waffled back and forth between, "I think I went the wrong way" and, "It should be just around the next bend in the trail".  Needless to say, I was indeed disoriented in my rush, but found myself at peace with the faux pas, enabling this slice of frigid serenity to present itself.
