I attempted to produce this image conceptually several years ago, and even managed to sell a finished version to a very special client.  However, I was never fully satisfied until rendering this one on digital "film".  For me the image conveys the sensations I experienced this particular morning in the sublime Mariposa Grove near the south entrance to Yosemite National Park ("Wawona").  Specifically, my senses were enveloped by aroma (smell), quiet (sound), texture (touch), depth and color (sight).  By the way, one will generally not experience quiet in this hugely popular destination unless visiting at the crack of dawn, which I wholeheartedly recommend.
