The desert landscape, despite its unwelcome abrasive qualities, is beautiful and inviting in all seasons.  I've always been captivated by "the long and winding road" meandering through the landscape and often find myself including it as a primary compositional element when recording a vista.  During my short trip to this part of California, I made many such compositions, including this one in the early morning light of the Buttermilk Country.
