The dreamlike quality I've imparted into this scene (through the subtraction of color and the addition of noise) is a reflection of my state of mind and emotion on this adventure. In particular, the beach cruiser bike, the boardwalk, and the pier amusements produced in my mind a very nostaligic mood. Beach-Blanket Bingo anyone? Chris and I rented bikes on nearby Venice beach and pedaled over to Santa Monica.
