What is the subject of this image? What is its significance? As an "artist" I rarely consider such questions before composing an image. Such decisions are usually rendered intuitively and probing deeply for meaning is often a bore. Likewise, I am bored by the preponderance of airy and artsy ruminations and psychic explorations that often accompany works of art. I have long believed that art speaks for itself and consider myself the antithesis of sophistication in such regard. That said, I must confess that this image speaks loudly to me, but I can't really hear what it's saying.
