| Mt. Evans
Colorado is a great place to view high country mammals like mountain
goats and bighorn sheep. Even if you have
only one day in the area, it's worth a drive as you can drive all the
way to 14000 feet on a beautifully paved road. One caveat: don't make
the drive, as we did, originating at sea level on the same day--you could
be in for a nasty (and dangerous) case of altitude sickness (Acute
Mountain Sickness)! |
