"Buckskin Manor Lane" derives its name from a placard at the head of this rural driveway in Loudoun County. Originally I had scouted this bucolic scene on a very dark grey autumn day, but did not succeed in recording the image I held in my mind's eye. Generally this composition is about morning and freshness and springtime in the country, with an overtone of wanderlust.
