Eventually I was accosted by hotel security for dragging my tripod into this casino (where I was a registered guest) and shooting off a roll of film. I was trying to be non-invasive and respect the privacy of the clientele, while recording the mania of the casino environment. For this image, I perched myself on a balcony overlooking the slot-machine area, and composed to have the "never-ending" rows of slots running out of the frame on every side. This is indeed the feeling one has when encountering one of the large casinos for the first time--that these festive contraptions just go on forever. By the way, Chris and I spent two nights and one quarter in New York, New York!
