This bike beckoned me to photograph it. To me, the juxtaposition of the lowly bicycle and the opulent gilded fence and courtyard reflect the duality of life in this grandest of cities. This was shot on the grounds of the Louvre. I stripped the background of its color to emphasize the contrast noted above.
