Cathedral Notre Dame
Ile de la Cite
Paris, France

Notre Dame was even more spectacular than I imagined, and I was fortunate to have nice lighting with which to record it. One of my favorite adventures during my short stay in Paris was climbing to the top of the cathedral, even in the dead of winter. It' a wonderful experience to look past the imposing gargoyles over the rooftops of this sprawling city, and feel enveloped by history. It' no mystery after my visit where Victor Hugo acquired his inspiration for his Hunchback tale. The early morning perspective shown here is from Pont Marie, a bridge over La Seine to Ile St-Louis.
