Eiffel Tower
Paris, France

Purchase Print
January in Paris can be quite blustery. Such was the case on this winter evening, when I stood in the park adjacent to the famous tower for two hours waiting for the light to be optimized. I think it was worth the wait for my chance at a Paris postcard. I was fairly confident that the lights of the tower were tungsten and would therefore be rendered orange on daylight film, and I wanted a royal blue in the sky, so I shot with an 81B color-correction filter (to correct tungsten lighting on daylight-balanced film). Paris is a worthwhile adventure at any time of the year. Just dress accordingly!
